Catja is a freelance Lighting Designer based in the UK. Her work spans theatre, opera, musicals, and cabaret, and she has a particular interest in new writing.
Previous productions include: The Turn of the Screw (Waterperry Opera Festical); Utoya (Arcola Theatre); The Mosinee Project (New Diorama Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe); Pansexual Pregnant Piracy (Soho Theatre); Bougie Lanre’s Boulangerie (Talawa Theatre Company); Scarlet Sunday (Omnibus Theatre); The Wolf, The Duck, and The Mouse (Unicorn Theatre); Rip Van Winkle (Hoxton Hall); The Oyster Problem (Jermyn Street Theatre); Paradise Lost (The Shipwright); Hot Gay Time Machine (Soho Theatre).
Catja is an Associate Tutor at RADA and a co-Director of collaborative theatre company Airlock Theatre. She is a former Creative Associate of Jermyn Street Theatre and a previous Resident Designer at NDT Broadgate.
Catja has also worked on an Associate on productions at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Unicorn Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Hampstead Theatre, and UK tours, as well as live-streams for the Young Vic.
